set out clearly.
Fees are monthly, you can join part-way through a month, and you can adjust the number of days month by month. All prices include tax.
A worked example: age 3, Morning Class, 3 days a week
What a family first pays for a 3-year-old starting Morning Class, 3 days a week, at the beginning of a month. From the second month it is ¥97,000 a month.

- If you enroll during the campaign, your first full month's fee is 10% off the standard monthly fee (¥97,000 → ¥87,300). If your child starts part-way through a month, we adjust the fee for the rest of that month separately and apply the 10% to the first full month.
- With the subsidy, as a guide: at the maximum support of ¥80,000 a month, your net cost comes to ¥17,000 a month (you pay ¥97,000 to the school in full and claim the subsidy back from your ward). Whether you qualify, and for how much, depends on your ward and your certification.
- The annual fee is charged when you enroll.

The Afternoon Class is not covered by the subsidy.
- 4 and 5 days a week cost the same.
- Only the Afternoon Class offers 1 day a week.

About the subsidy
As a guide: with the maximum support of ¥80,000 a month, Morning Class 3 days a week comes to ¥17,000 a month, and Semi-full Day 3 days a week to ¥42,000.
Aloha Kids received the certificate for meeting the official supervision standards for non-registered childcare (認可外保育施設) from Setagaya-ku in September 2022, which makes it eligible for childcare subsidies.
Parents whose ward has certified them as needing childcare (保育の必要性の認定) can receive a subsidy of up to ¥80,000 a month. It can be used for the Baby, Morning, Semi-full Day and Full Day classes, not for the Afternoon Class. The "After subsidy (estimate)" prices in the fee table are examples: the standard fee less ¥80,000 a month.
The amount of the subsidy, and whether it is available to you, is at the discretion of your ward. Typical grounds are all parents working, pregnancy or childbirth, and illness or disability. Please check with your ward office first.
How to get the subsidy

Apply to your ward
Apply at your ward office for certification of childcare need (保育の必要性の認定) and for the subsidy. The ward tells you which documents are needed and gives you a schedule.

Get certified
The ward certifies families who meet its conditions, such as work, pregnancy or childbirth, illness or disability.

Receive the subsidy
You pay the school in full and claim the subsidy back from your ward. We prepare the school's documents on request.

Extended care
Extended care is available outside your regular class schedule. It is available on request and for an additional fee. Please request it by the day before.
Semi-full Day and Full Day children can arrive from 9:00 at no extra charge.
Discounts, attendance and payment
Sibling discount
The second child's enrollment fee is 50% off. When attending 2 or more days a week, the lower of the two monthly fees is 15% off.
Minimum attendance
Morning, Semi-full Day and Full Day: at least 2 days a week for the first 3 months, then 3 or more. Baby Class: at least 2 days a week for the first 5 months, then 3 or more from month 6.
Joining mid-month and changing days
Fees are monthly, but you can join part-way through a month. You can add days once your child has settled in, and adjust attendance month by month to suit your family.
Lunch
Lunch is provided by the school at ¥580 per meal.

Fees are paid by bank transfer. We explain the payment details when you enroll.
Notice for leaving and extended care
If your child is leaving Aloha Kids, please give us one month's notice. Extended care must be requested by the day before.
Trial lesson prices
Before enrolling, your child can join a real class. The Morning and Afternoon prices cover both lessons together; the Baby price is for one lesson.

- Morning Class 9:30–14:00 2 lessons in total, within one month¥15,000 + ¥1,160 for two lunches
- Afternoon Class 15:00–17:00 / 16:00–18:00 2 lessons in total, within one month¥10,000
- The Afternoon Class trial is ¥10,000 for 2 lessons in total. We will help you find the right class for your child's age and English level. Children aged 8 and over can try the 16:00–18:00 class.
- Semi-full Day and Full Day families start with the Morning Class trial.
