Teachers

The people who spend
every day with the children.

Everything in the classroom happens in English, with experienced teachers who speak in a way young children can follow. Japanese staff are here too, for children and for parents.

I came to Japan from Russia with my family in 1996, after graduating from Far East Medical University. After working in several childcare settings, I opened Aloha Kids in 2006. I was a competitive rhythmic gymnast when I was young. Watching them grow is what makes me happiest.

English-speaking teachers and Japanese staff

Our teachers come from Canada, Russia and Indonesia, and one is Japanese and grew up in the Philippines. Every day the children talk in English with adults from different backgrounds.

We also have a Japanese nursery teacher with years of experience in Japanese kindergartens and childcare. She can help in Japanese until your child settles in, and helps with communication for parents who are not comfortable in English.

In winter, a visiting dance teacher comes in to teach dance.

For children aged 3 and over, Mako teaches music on Mondays and Alison teaches art on Wednesdays.

Come and meet us.

A visit or a trial lesson is the best way to meet the teachers and see a class.
